A piano vocalist turned bedroom pop producer. Influenced by 70s singer-songwriters and jazz fusion. Originally from the U.S. but frequently resides in Scotland.
This is a picture of her at her job in China:
Originally growing up in the Chicago suburbs, Jessica Davey migrated to England in 2006 to study music at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (founded by former Beatle Paul McCartney).
After graduation, she stayed in England for years. Life happened.
She has been working internationally as a piano vocalist on cruise ships and in hotels since 2015. She has done contracts for P&O Cruises Australia, The Ritz-Carlton Osaka, Japan, and the Futian Shangri-La in Shenzhen, China. And when she isn’t doing that, she lives in Glasgow, Scotland.
Her musical influences include: The Beatles, Steely Dan, Joni Mitchell, Carole King, Toto, Michael Jackson, and Astrud Gilberto.
Her aesthetic influences include: London, Scotland, Star Trek, Philip Pullman’s His Dark Materials, Charlotte Brontë, late night talk shows, and British weather (which is exactly as horrible as everyone says it is).
Besides piano, she also plays clarinet, flute, and tenor saxophone.
